If you update your SSL certificate with a new hostname, you will be required to generate a new API path and API token. Here are the steps we need you to follow to update your API path and API token.

  1. Login to your Bigcommerce management console
  2. Click on "Users" in the upper right hand corner
  3. If you see a blue box with the message, "Looking for API accounts?...", then go to the "Legacy API Update" section below. See screenshot of message below (see screenshot below).
  4. If you do not see a blue box with a message then go to the "Normal API Update" section below.

Legacy API Update

  1. Click on "Go there now" in the blue box with the message.
  2. Click "Create a Legacy API Account".
  3. Click on the gear and select "Edit" for the username "Apptive".
  4. Click on "Generate New Token" (see image below).
  5. Click "Save".
  6. Copy and paste the new API Token and the API Path and email them to support@apptive.com.

Normal API Update

  1. Click on the gear and select "Edit" for the email "support@apptive.com"
  2. Scroll down and click on "Generate New Token" (see image below).
  3. Click "Save".
  4. Copy and paste the new API Token and the API Path and email them to support@apptive.com.
